On Sunday 16 September, the parish celebrates the annual patronal feast of St Matthew. But this year, there are special celebrations because it is the 60th Anniversary of the Dedication of the Church and the 100th Anniversary of the Dedication of the first Church in Holland Park named after St Matthew.
The parish will be blessed by the first visit of the new Bishop of the Southern Region, the Right Reverend John Roundhill. Bishop John will be conducting and adult baptism and confirmation as well as the confirmation of eight of our young parishioners.
All past and present parishioners of St Matthew’s are cordially invited to attend this red letter day in the life of the faith community. The Sunday Service will commence at the usual time of 9am and will be followed by a special morning tea to celebrate the occasion.
